Makeup Artist

Whew! Busy weekend for my avocado (that's the size right now) and me! And a ton of other mommies too! My nieces' dance recital was this weekend and I get the honor of doing their makeup each year. It's so much fun especially because it gives me a chance to get super close to their sweet faces! Unfortunately the warden wouldn't let Mom outta jail to go but she wanted to "look cool like the girls" so I gave her a recital-esque makeover as well.

I'm so proud of the girls and how hard they work! They are really great dancers. One really special part was the daddy-daughter dance Jason got to do with Emily. Precious! Gave me a chance to daydream about what life with kids will be like and of course blubber a little over the thought. :-)

Hairy Baby

If the old wives tale about heartburn & lots of hair is true, I'm going to have a monkey. This child will be covered in hair. Luckily my genius mother told me about this gum she chewed when she was pregnant. I got it from Amazon today and have had one piece and I'm in love. This will be my lifesaver..,

14 week baby bump pic

Here we are at 14 weeks. Getting my energy back and starting to feel better. Heartburn is getting worse- I hope the old wives tale is true and I have a baby with a full head of hair!

12 week ultrasound

Today was our first ultrasound with Atrium. We loved Dr. Grey and had an awesome time hearing our baby's heartbeat for the first time! This was also an awesome day because Mom's doctors are saying that her kidneys are functioning and they don't think she will need dialysis anymore. And the third cool thing that's happened recently is that I got a promotion at work! God is really blessing our family. Praise HIM!

Guessing Games

I've been MIA on the blog lately- sorry! Mom has been back in the hospital trying to get better. It has been a serious guessing game as the doctors seem to be mystified by her. She's doing better every day, and the prayers are working- God is listening! So please keep praying.

Onto a more fun guessing game... We are anxious to know what kinda baby we're growing! We won't know until the end of May or the beginning of June, but it sure is fun to think about. Apparently Netflix has some ideas:

10 weeks and I'm definitely into maternity clothes. I'm gonna be a house by the end of this!

Mom went back into the hospital last weekend and had us all scared last weekend but is doing better now. We don't know when she will get out but they are taking good care of her. I went "public" with the pregnancy because I had to praise God for performing miracles to keep my mom here so she can take part in our miracle baby!

I have an app that tells me the general size of the baby as it grows. It's been a blueberry, raspberry and most recently a green olive. I guess Katie's next guess is a mushroom!

This baby sure is lucky to have sweet cousins!
